A little garden magic…

garden5 {Beans}

garden6 {Carrots}

garden7 {Pepper}

garden9 {Summer Squash}

Garden10 {Me in the garden…yes that is black plastic---but see? There are barely any weeds! And if you think it looks bare…just wait until those squash plants grow some more-they are going to take over!}

Garden11 Garden12 {Baby Praying Mantis}

Garden13 {‘weed’ that I think might be baby’s breath???}

Garden14 Garden15 {More ‘weeds’ that I let grow…}

garden1 {Baby Tomato}

garden3{a bunch of baby cucumbers!}

garden2{Then found this surprise! It’s about ready to eat!}

garden4 {Peas Please!}
{Oh and a random Poison Ivy…dang stuff…}

Well if you made it this far, I will share a little story. Night before last, we were suddenly woken by Thunder. Next thing we know it sounds like a lightning bolt just hit our house! (I’ve been in a house when that happened before-it sounded the same!) If you aren’t familiar with that feeling-imagine a big gun shooting off next to your head, blinding light, and a burning smell in the air. We got up and investigated. Finding no major problems we went back to bed. Later we found this tree branch pictured below in the front yard. We have some giant trees (the branch is really nothing if you see the rest of the tree) and decided this was quite possibly the victim of the lightning strike. It also knocked out a few of our breakers.
